The Freeport anchor is a buildable that was added in ℵ34 update. It is a solid 3x3 block that keeps a ship tethered to Freeport, so even if they try to go through a gate, they cannot enter the next zone. Useful for large trade ships that are vulnerable in dangerous zones.
