Guests are new members of a spaceship. They can spawn at the guest Spawn Points (if one is deployed) and can only use the guest filtered Doors. The Captain of the spaceship can promote a guest to Crew on the Team Manager window, or demote a crew member to guest. When you first join an allegiance, your rank will be guest by default.
It is best to restrict the actions of guests, using doors and spawn points, as they are not always to be trusted. When you trust them later, you can promote them to a crew member.
